Lexington Avenue Subway
Train #6 local to Astor Place station. Walk west on Astor Place to Broadway, south (left) on Broadway to West 4th Street, then west (right) on West 4th Street. HUC-JIR is located on West 4th Street between Broadway and Mercer Street.
Broadway Subway
R Train to 8th Street station. Walk south on Broadway to West 4th Street and west (right) on West 4th Street. HUC-JIR is located on West 4th Street between Broadway and Mercer Streets.
Eighth Avenue Subway
A, C, or E Train to West 4th Street station. Exit at the West 4th Street end of the station. Walk east on West 4th Street past Washington Square Park. HUC-JIR is located on West 4th Street between Broadway and Mercer Street on the north side.
Sixth Avenue Subway
B, D, F or Q Train to West 4th Street station. Go up two flights of stairs. Exit at the West 4th Street end of the station. Walk east on West 4th Street past Washington Square Park. HUC-JIR is located on West 4th Street between Broadway and Mercer Street on the north side.
Bus
Fifth Avenue Bus, M1, M2, M3, and M5 to 8th Street and University Place. Walk south on University Place to West 4th Street. Go left on West 4th Street. HUC-JIR is located on West 4th Street between Broadway and Mercer Street.
Broadway Bus, M6 to Waverly Place. Walk south on Broadway to West 4th Street. Then go right on West 4th Street. HUC-JIR is located on West 4th Street between Broadway and Mercer Street.

New Jersey
Holland Tunnel
When you exit the tunnel, follow signs to (East) Canal Street. Continue one short block on Canal. Make the first left onto West Broadway (changes to LaGuardia Place). Continue straight to end. Make a right on West 4th Street. HUC-JIR is located on West 4th Street between Broadway and Mercer Street.
Lincoln Tunnel
The Lincoln Tunnel is actually a series of tunnels. There is no way to determine through which specific tunnel you will enter New York City. When you exit the tunnel, follow signs to the West Side Highway. (12th Avenue). Go south (left) and take the 14th Street exit. Follow 14th Street and turn right on 5th Avenue. Go to the end of 5th Avenue and make a left on Waverly Place. Drive for three blocks and make a right on Mercer Street to West 4th Street. Make a left on West 4th Street. HUC-JIR is located on West 4th Street between Broadway and Mercer Street.
George Washington Bridge
Take the Henry Hudson Parkway south to 14th Street. Follow 14th Street and turn right on 5th Avenue. Go to the end of 5th Avenue and make a left on Waverly Place. Drive for three blocks and make a right on Mercer Street to West 4th Street. Make a left on West 4th Street. HUC-JIR is located on West 4th Street between Broadway and Mercer Street.
Westchester County or Connecticut
Take I-95 ( New England Thruway) over the Triboro Bridge. Then follow FDR Drive south to Houston Street. Go west (right) on Houston to LaGuardia Place and north (right) on LaGuardia to end at Washington Square Park. Make a right on West 4th Street. HUC-JIR is located on West 4th Street between Broadway and Mercer Street.
Long Island
Take the Long Island Expressway to the Queens Mid-Town Tunnel and go west on 37th Street to 5th Avenue. Take 5th Avenue south to Washington Square Park. Make a left on Washington Square North which becomes Waverly Place. Go right on Mercer and left on West 4th. HUC-JIR is located on West 4th Street between Broadway and Mercer Street.
Parking
From HUC, continue on West 4th and make a right on Broadway. There is a parking lot just below West 4th, on the left side of Broadway which is open Monday through Friday until 10 p.m. On the weekends continue on Broadway and make a left on Bond Street. Then make a left on Lafayette. There will be parking lots or garages on both sides of the street. For more parking make a left on Astor Place. There are also two garages on Broadway at the intersection of Astor Place.
